Spring Lecture Series 2010

This years series began on Feb. 9th with an extremely informative presentation by Glenna Teltow. Her talk was about bats in general and focused on bats that inhabit the Florence area. She spoke for nearly an hour utilizing a Powerpoint presentation that included facts videos, and photos of these fascinating creatures. She brought several display cases containing examples of the large number of bats found locally ,along with a couple of unusual bats that inhabit other parts of the world. After her presentation, she fielded question from the audience of 25 or so while everyone enjoyed the food and drinks provided.. The numerous kids in the crowd asked several very good questions. Our thanks go out to Glenna for sharing her knowledge with us all.
